Dendrobium sutiknoi is a medium growing species from New Guinea.
The plants on offer are established in 50mm pots and relatively easy to grow.
Dendrobium sutiknoi usually grows around 100cm tall, and has the longest petals of all the spatulata family. In breeding the elongated petals dominates the progeny.
They can have 5 to 20 flowers on an inflorescence although the flower count is usually on the lower end of the spectrum. The flowers are usually around 7cm.
The colour of the flowers ranges from browns to yellows/greens and are beautiful.
Ideal conditions are
- medium to high light that is filtered,
- hot locations
- in a well drained mix that dries before it is watered again.
They can be grown on a mount.
