Den. calamiforme is a species from North Queensland. They are often found growing in a variety of habitats from open forests to rainforests and swamp areas from bright to shady areas.
The plants can grow up to 60cm and a mature plant can grow quite a big clump of a plant. The growth habit is pendulous.
Expect up to 15 white to cream flowers per inflorescence, which can flower profusely on a plant.
Ideal conditions are
- medium light that is filtered,
- cool to warm locations
- in a well drained mix that dries before it is watered again.
Most growers prefer to grow this species on a mount
