Vanda tricolor is a species from Java and Bali.
This species is a medium sized plant that grows to about 45cm and has intense coloured flowers.
The plants on offer are mercilones Vanda tricolor 'No. 4455' established in a 70mm pot
The flowers are about 7cms and up to 9 on an inflorescence.
Ideal conditions are
- medium to high light that is filtered,
- cool to warm locations
- in a well drained mix that dries before it is watered again, or grown bare root in the air (Vanda basket)
- Vandas like water and food when in active growth.
They can be grown on a mount.
